NC BREATHE 2025
“CleanAIRE NC champions a unique, holistic approach to environmental and community health and well-being. Celebrate a decade of environmental action with CleanAIRE NC at our landmark 10th anniversary NC BREATHE Conference!
This dynamic two-day in-person event is dedicated to strengthening community health and environmental resilience across North Carolina. This year’s theme explores the intersection of planetary and human health and community resilience. Planetary health highlights how human activities significantly impact our environment, which in turn affects our health and well-being. Building community resilience—the capacity to adapt and recover from environmental disruptions like natural disasters or climate change—is crucial for withstanding threats to planetary health and tackling global challenges like climate change.”

THE WINSTON SALEM RESCUE MISSION
The Rescue Mission, located in Winston Salem, NC, is a christian non-profit organization that provides a variety of services to help people in need, including men struggling with addiction, homelessness, and other challenges. They offer programs for addiction recovery, meal services, clothing assistance, and a thrift store that supports their ministry. They also have a thrift store in downtown WS, located at 718 Trade St NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
If you are interested in volunteering, go to the wsrescue.org page and fill out the volunteer application form. Facility tours are led by Volunteer Coordinator, Jean-Luc Clark, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 AM to 12 PM.
