José joined PowerUp in March 2021. José is a Senior Communications and Media Studies major with a concentration in Social Justice Advocacy. He is a Spring ‘19 initiate into the Delta Alpha Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., where he serves as president. José has been active within the campus and surrounding community through his leadership in his fraternity, student government association, as well as other organizations. He continues this work through PowerUp, as his passion is advocating and fighting for social justice and social equity within minority communities.
