Seana Finn is a graduate student at NC State University, pursuing a Master’s and then PhD in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. She collaborates with the Carolina Wetlands Association’s Wetland Treasures program and is researching the use of AI for early detection of chemical hazards in public water infrastructures that pose a risk to communities. Seana serves on the board of Urban Community AgriNomics (UCAN), a non-profit whose mission is to address food insecurities in North Durham. Previously, she worked as a Conservation Coordinator for the North Carolina Wildlife Federation, where she fostered community partnerships and volunteer projects to protect local habitats. During her time with the federation, she also chaired the Durham Bee City Committee, an affiliate group of the Bee City USA program which promotes pollinator conservation through outreach. Seana holds a bachelor’s degree from Shaw University.
