Emerald P. Bowman is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience spanning higher education, municipal government, and professional sports. Her expertise lies in strategic planning, leadership, and community engagement, driving positive change and promoting diversity and inclusion. From her tenure at the City of Winston-Salem to her role at Harvard Medical School’s as the Director of Community Engagement & Education, Emerald has spearheaded initiatives that set new standards for inclusive academic environments, emphasizing student engagement and growth.
Drawing from her experiences at Virginia State University, Emerald prioritizes mentorship in community development. Through her consultancy, E.H. Bowman & Associates Consulting Firm, LLC, she offers strategic guidance in organizational development, team management, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a survivor of COVID-19, Emerald’s dedication to aiding businesses led her to found E.H. Bowman & Associates Consulting Firm, LLC in 2023, focusing on mental and physical recovery and fostering positive social change.
