Jeffery Fields – a man deeply rooted in the fabric of his community, a husband to Armisscia Fields and a proud father of 5 children with the joy of 4 grandchildren gracing his life. Jeffery’s journey through life began at Farmville Central High School, where he graduated proudly with the Class of 1977. His quest for knowledge led him to East Carolina University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Social Work in 1985. But Jeffery’s education wasn’t confined to classroom alone: he also enriched his spiritual understanding at the Free Will Baptist School of Theology. Driven by a profound sense of purpose, Jeffery became the founder of Lamb of God Ministries. This organization became his vessel to share the teachings of Jesus Christ with those behind prison walls, reaching out to inmates, guards, and correctional officers. His Ministry found its voice on WELS, a Christian radio station, connecting with thousands of listeners weekly. Jeffery transformed this broadcast into a platform for discussions on the challenges our world faces today, merging faith with real-life issues. For the past 4 years, Jeffery has held the Day of Prayer for the Town of Farmville, where he endeavors to bring the citizens of this Town together to pray for the mayor, town officials, pastors, community leaders and all citizens. A dedicated member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Jeffery extended his influence into the local school system, particularly Farmville Central High School. Beyond academics, he continues to serve on the North Carolina Senior Games Rules Committee at the State and National levels, and one of the Event Coordinators for North Carolina Senior Games Regional Basketball Tournament for senior citizens. Jeffery serves on the committee representing Pitt County on the statewide NC Vision Zero Commission, where they seek to make streets, sidewalks, roads, and highways safe for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. Jeffery has also served as Vice-Chair of the Farmville Democratic Party Precinct-B. For the past 3 decades, Jeffery has served as a basketball referee at the High School and Div II & III Collegiate levels, showcasing his passion for sportsmanship. In retirement from officiating, his commitment to service only intensified. Jeffery volunteers with the Food Task Force, ensuring no one in Farmville goes hungry.
