Jessica Williams is a recent graduate from North Carolina Central University, where she obtained her Master’s in Public Administration. She currently works as a Human Relations Coordinator for Pitt County and serves as the current Chair of the Human Relations Commission. She currently lives in Greenville, NC. Originally from Rocky Mount, NC. She is passionate about advocating for the black community and fighting for what is right. She also has a passion for agriculture and is committed to doing her part in providing underserved communities with the resources needed to live a healthier life. She applied to this program to help her grow in the professional world by enhancing her leadership skills, decision-making skills, and helping increase her knowledge of policy and procedure. She wants to be a voice for the black community, those who think they do not have a voice, and those who may have lost faith in their local government and/or community leaders. She believes it is important to show those in her community that someone cares and is working toward making a difference. She enjoys reading, traveling, fitness, and working on cars in her spare time.
