Introducing Friendship Writing Youth Group – A Veteran-Led Mission to Empower Young Writers
Monica Fuller is excited to launch Friendship Writing Youth Group (FWYG), a new veteran-led nonprofit focused on helping kids improve their handwriting skills through the art of storytelling. This unique programming combines penmanship with creativity, offering hands-on experiences that build confidence, literacy, and a lifelong love for writing.
FWYG offers full-day workshops and 8-week programs that include fun and engaging activities like comic book writing, bookmark making, book cover design, and even puppet making. Each cycle ends with a special graduation celebration where students showcase their growth and creativity.
They will kick off summer programming in partnership with local Boys and Girls Clubs and public schools—bringing the mission directly to the communities that need it most.
