Jevon Thomas (Class of ’24)
Jevon has recently graduated from Fayetteville State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Which aligns with his passion for serving the community. In addition to his ongoing efforts in community service, Jevon has begun a new role as a Federal Police Officer at Fort Liberty, where he continues his dedication to service and public safety. Go Jevon!

Maraim Rivera (Inaugural Class)
Maraim was recently appointed to the Citizens Budget Advisory Board for the City of Winston Salem. Congratulations Maraim!

Monica Fuller (Class of ’23)
Monica Fuller has started a book publishing company called 88M (Mike) Publishing, LLC that empowers diverse voices, promoting storytelling that reflects the true richness of human experiences. Her commitment is grounded in the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and empowerment of those who feel unseen and unheard. While maintaining this platform she also has two books in press called The Terms and Conditions of Politics and One Day at A Time. 88M Publishing has also created an enrichment program for the youth called the Friendship Writing Youth Group to ensure that their legacy lives on through storytelling. Monica is also building a veteran-led nonprofit called Mission 88M (Mike) that creates a comprehensive archive called the Russ Pelc Project that highlights the diverse experiences, sacrifices, and contributions of military service members and veterans while fostering education, understanding, and respect. Mission 88M has several initiatives to include implementing veteran boards/commissions at local level and an initiative that advocates for healthier veteran-focused policies. In the meantime, Monica has been facilitating legislative and policy workshops domestically and internationally to increase citizen participation in government and is creating a race-based trauma workshop to provide monitories with a safe space to better understand their purpose.

Emerald P. Bowman (Class of ’24)
