Daikwon Redfearn known as “The Prince of Policy” on social media, is a proud graduate of North Carolina Central University and a committed advocate for the people of Durham. He is passionate about environmental justice, civic engagement, and mobilizing young voters because these issues directly shape the health, economic stability, and political power of communities across North Carolina, especially in cities like Durham that continue to lead and inspire change. As a young Black voter, Daikwon has witnessed how policy decisions from environmental protections to voting access disproportionately impact communities like his. These experiences strengthened his commitment not only to participate in the political process, but to actively organize, educate, and mobilize others to do the same in Durham and beyond. He is excited about the program with the NCLCV because he seeks to strengthen his advocacy skills, deepen his understanding of climate and environmental policy, and become a more effective leader advancing sustainable and equitable solutions for Durham and the state of North Carolina.
