Jasmine Godbolt is an entrepreneur and childcare advocate currently living in Hope Mills, North Carolina. Originally from a small town Mullins, SC Jasmine is passionate about creating solutions that support families, working parents, and communities. She is the founder of Nesting Nannies, a on-site drop-in childcare service designed to help working families access reliable and educational childcare. With a background in Family and Consumer Science with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from North Carolina Central University, she has dedicated her career to addressing the childcare crisis and ensuring that parents—especially women in professional careers—have the support they need. Jasmine applied for the Boards and Commissions Fellowship Program to gain the knowledge and tools necessary to serve on a board or commission that advocates for families, early childhood education, and workforce equity. She is eager to learn how to navigate leadership roles in policy making and decision-making spaces to influence policies that impact child care accessibility, working parents, and community development. Through this program, Jasmine hopes to develop her leadership skills, gain mentorship, and better understand how to effectively advocate for children, families, and underrepresented communities. As a Southern girl at heart, Jasmine loves nature and the outdoors, finding peace in exploring new trails, spending time near the water, and enjoying the simple beauty of the natural world. In her spare time, she also enjoys reading self-development books, listening to podcasts, mentoring students, and exploring ways to create lasting change in her community.
