This was such a fun and amazing experience for not only our Alumni to be a part of, but also current Fellows. This is a great opportunity for everyone to catch up, network, and inspire each other. Check out The Repair Cafe, a North Carolina Workshop for Help on Repairing Common Household Items!
The Repair Cafe North Carolina Workshop is an event where community members can bring broken household items such as electronics, clothing, and small appliances to be repaired by skilled volunteers. This initiative promotes sustainability by encouraging repair and reuse rather than disposal, helping to reduce waste and conserve resources. By extending the lifespan of everyday items, the workshop minimizes landfill contributions and environmental harm. Additionally, it fosters community engagement by providing a space where people can share knowledge, learn new skills, and support a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
