Boards & Commissions Fellowship Program Session 1

Session 1 of the 2025 Boards & Commissions Fellowship Program was held on April 12th , The first of six sessions that the Fellows will be attending virtually, on the second Saturday of each month until September. This is the beginning of their journeys towards becoming equipped with valuable skills to effectively serve on their local boards or commissions. Graduation will be here before you know it!
Science by the Slice: Stories from On the Swamp

Overview: This online event, hosted by the Science Communicators of North Carolina (SCONC), with Ryan E. Emanuel, Ph.D., features discussions on Indigenous environmental justice, highlighting stories and challenges faced by Indigenous communities.
The virtual discussion will center on Indigenous communities and their experiences with environmental justice. It highlights real stories and challenges, aiming to educate and amplify Indigenous voices.

2025 Haw River Festival
