Congratulations to Harry for becoming the new Development Officer for NCLCV!

Martina Ackridge (2022 Fellow)

Martina shared her experience of participating in the Boards & Commissions Fellowship Program with community members of Mecklenburg at a luncheon at Duke Mansion. She highlighted how the program has helped her become more civically engaged in her capacity to serve on a board, as well as to seek an elected office. Keep up the great work Martina!

Cathy Leake (2024 Fellow)

Cathy has been appointed to the government relations chair for the non profit Shining Light in Darkness, in which she has been able to create an advocacy day for the organization at the Legislature. Cathy also moderated a “Women’s History Month Panel: Latina Women Accessing Reproductive Healthcare in North Carolina via Zoom. Awesome work Cathy!

Monica Fuller (2023 Fellow)

Monica has been creating opportunities in more ways than one. She recently inked a deal to co-host a weekly radio show and is also working on securing a deal for her own hourly segment. Her goal is to give a voice to the unseen and unheard, following in her grandfather’s footsteps. This marks one of the her most exciting moments in recent times! Go Monica!
