Kerry joined NCLCV in September 2021. She brings to this role more than a decade of experience working with community-based organizations, building equity and access to education, especially for children attending Title 1 Schools. Kerry has worked with several nonprofit organizations, such as the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina and Goodwill Industries. As a prior educator with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools as Parental Involvement Coordinator, she understands the importance of creating equity in education for the advancement of all children, especially children of color. Prior to joining NCLCV, Kerry worked as a patient advocate for a behavioral health hospital. She has an MS in Human Services from Cappella University, a BS in Sociology from Winston-Salem State University, and an Associates Degree in Human Services from Forsyth Technical Community College. Kerry is a veteran of the United States Army National Guard.
